The Executive Board of the Eighteenth-Century Scottish Studies Society has voted to award Ruth Perry with the society’s Lifetime Achievement Award: https://ecsss.org/ecsss-lifetime-achievement-award/ Her completed and forthcoming work on Anna Gordon is of major importance to eighteenth-century Scottish studies. She is also fondly acknowledged for the Scottish Enlightenment Songster that Profs. Ruth Perry and William Donaldson put together and used at several ECSSS conferences.
This honor will be bestowed to Ruth at their Ottawa conference in late October: https://www2.uottawa.ca/faculty-arts/CSECS-ECSSS-2022
In the nearly four-decade history of the society, the ECSSS Lifetime Achievement Award for contributions to eighteenth-century Scottish studies has only been given fourteen times. Ruth will be the 16th person to ever receive the ECSSS Lifetime Achievement Award.
