Starting on January 4, 2016, Pleasures of Poetry will kick off it’s twentieth year. Founded by Literature Faculty, David Thorburn, PoP will feature discussions of a rich roster of poets including Shakespeare, Seamus Heaney, Michelangelo, Gregory Pardlo, Sappho, Anne Carson, and more.
Every weekday throughout the month of January, a different poetry enthusiast will lead a discussion of the poem of their choice. The discussion leaders are comprised of MIT faculty members, librarians, staff members, alumni, graduate students, and area poets.
