Laura Ryan is responsible for the daily operations of the Humanities Film Office, which include acquiring, circulating, and archiving films in the collection. In addition to maintaining the film collection database, she ensures that faculty and students have access to course-related film materials via a private online server. She also maintains the Film Office website.

Laura Ryan is an artist who works with photography, video and installation. She has an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Bard College (2006) and she completed her MFA in Photography at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2013. Her works have been installed at the Montserrat College of Art and in numerous pop-up spaces in Boston and New Bedford MA. Her photographs have also been shown in 2 person and group shows in Santa Fe NM, Vermont, Boston MA, and New Bedford MA. Recent works include 4-channel video installation, short fiction, a video/performance installation, and a series of experimental films based on color separation techniques in early photography.
