Susan Wiedner

Susan Wiedner is responsible for the Literature Section’s publicity and outreach. She organizes Literature events such as the weekly Monday Teas, visiting authors, FPOP: Discovering Literature, faculty and staff events, and Literature’s presence at campus-wide expos and fairs. She designs internal advertising and informational publications including the bi-annual Supplement to the Bulletin, and is the liaison between the Section and Literature Alums. Susan also acts as the editor to the Section’s annual newsletter and updates the Literature website.

Susan has an MFA in Creative Writing and a BA in English with a minor in Women’s Studies from San Diego State University. She is a poet whose work has appeared in Southword, Satori, Web del Sol Review of Books, and elsewhere. She is a co-founding editor for The California Journal of Poetics, where she writes book reviews, analysis of poems, and conducts interviews with poets. She worked as a contributing editor for Poetry International.
